Best Hair

Hi beautiful people! Today I'm bringing you a hair review that has been long in the making...mentally that is. I have been curious about hair extentions for quiet some time, I'd say a few years now. I was contacted by the Best Hair Store to review their clip in hair extensions, and I decided to give it a go. My review is here for you!
The decision on choosing the right color for my hair was really quick because I already have a balayage on my hair. I knew is would blend in just right. I haven't colored my hair in over a year and it still holds the balayage really well. I chose the 20 inch clip in hair extensions in Ombre Balayage color straight. It is Brazilian Virgin Hair which can be curled and styled as you so please.
I have to say since I've never tried hair extensions in my life I was a little overwhelmed. Since I am a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to doing things right sometimes. I watched a Youtube video 3 times on it. Then I so happened to see one of my friends at my sister's house that was familiar with hair extensions that offered to help. I was so happy and relieved because I learn best by following along with someone.
Ease of Use
The first time around my friend Tamika made me aware that you had to snap the little clips open to clip on to your hair. I had no idea, lol!!! I was missing this step.
You start at the back of the head first with the widest extenstions. You part your hair at the bottom leaving a part of your hair down so that the clips have a place to grip. You then press down on each little clip and snap all the way around the back of your head, and voila! You have added inches of natural lookin volume to your hair. You then move up another layer of your hair and repeat the process until to reach the sides of your head. There you add the smallest pieces of hair extensions for a very natural layered look.
It only took me 2 tries before I could do it right on my own. I think that's really good for someone who has never done this before. For that reason alone I give these extensions an A! Also they look so good and blend in with my hair so well. Don't you think?
Do visit the Best Hair Store and check them out, try it if you love changing up your hair looks throughout the seasons. I love the look, and will be using my extentions throughout the year for sure. The only thing that I felt was missing from the kit I received were instructions on how to apply the extensions. I know it seems pretty easy but I didn't even know you had to snap the clips to grip onto the hair until my friend told me. Although there is a video on the Best Hair Store made by another blogger, I must have skipped through that part or she didn't explain it either. Nevertheless, I do like the extensions very much, and would recommend them to anyone looking for more volume and length for their hair.
P.S. The Best Hair Store also included two combs which helped so much when parting the hair. Oh yeah and free lashes too!

Los Angeles: Museum Of Ice Cream

My last few weeks have been bananas!! Yes really. My son graduated High School and it's been a whirl wind of emotions. So hard to describe how it feels when you have what is considered in the U.S. to be an adult in your hands. The world is his oyster and I hope I can guide him in the right disrection in adulthood.  Needless to say this visit to the Museum of Ice Cream was a welcomed distraction from the madness of Prom, and high school graduation! So I present to you my visual diary of my time in this fantastic place that is The Museum of Ice Cream in Los Angeles. Enjoy!

Let me know your thoughts about this Museum in the comments! Also wish me luck in this transition I have going with my son graduating high school. It's a bit scary....yikes!

Fun Fact: The museum has treats they offer guests as they go from room to room. My favorite was the mint mochi ice cream!

New Sephora Century City

A few weeks ago I got the opportunity to attend the grand opening of the new Sephora store in
Century City. It was such a fun event, and sharing it with my girlfriends was even better. Now I get to share it with you all. If you are into beauty as much as I am you will definitely enjoy this. Take a peek at what I experienced along with my favorite beauty picks I found at the store.

The treats were delicious and so pretty to look at.

My go to drink for the night! I fell in love with it. :))

My jaw dropped when I saw what Urban Decay did with my favorite artist's work! I seriously could not believe my eyes. I have loved Basquiat for over 10 years. Now Urban Decay has a line featuring his art. Even though I hardly ever wear any eye shadow, I may just buy it for the cover!

I loved this lippy in natural pink. Actually really bright pink and I adore it!

This baby was so cool. It's a computer that will let you smell your scent based on a little questionaire you fill out on the screen. In less then a minute it will bring up different perfumes they sell at Sephora that you may fall in love with based on your answers. It will also spray out a mist with a particular scent made just for you. Cool right?

My friend Jackie trying on some samples.

Can't wait to try so many of these masks. Sephora's own line.
Hope you enjoyed this mini tour through this new Sephora. Also let me know what you think of my favorite things in the store!

Vintage dresses and Swimwear Wishlist

Well hello! Are you all eagerly waiting for summer like me? I am in need of some new dresses and swimwear for the coming season. Lace dresses, vintage dresses, bikinis, tankini, and one pieces are all  on my must haves.
I'm sharing a little wishlist today from an online store called Gamiss. They have so many trendy and vintage styles, just what I'm looking for.
Dresses are so fun for me to wear. They make me feel light and put me in a good mood. While I love modern dresses, there is something about classic and vintage styles that I adore. Lace being such a classic fabric gives a feeling of romance and elegance. Trully a fabric I adore. Let's take a miute also to talk about bell sleeves. This trend is having a major come back, and it feels so good! Don't you think?

Here are some great prints and styles on bathing suits I found at Gamiss! I'm in search of a swimsuit that offers comfort, style, and coverage because I will be going on a trip where I'll be doing some sporty activity in the water. I wouldn't want to have a mishap and have my bathing suit fall off in the water when a wave hits! :))

Can you tell I have a thing for palms? I don't know what it is about them that I love so much. It may have something to do with the fact that I associate them with the ocean which is one of my loves. How do you feel about palm print? Are you more of a print person or solids when it comes to fabrics?

I get to order a few items from the store, I hope it's as good as they look. Can't wait to get them and try them on! Check out Gamiss for many more cool styles. I've linked these for you if you love them as much as I do!

Feeling Pretty in Tulle

Well hello lovely friends! Gotta admit I've been a little overwhelmed lately with doing photography on the side, doing mom duties, and my 9-5. I'm back though with this post featuring this adorable tulle skirt that I've been searching for years for. Although I see many I really love the price for these babies has gotten expensive. With me always on budget it's hard to find a good design with the price to match. Luckily while shopping with my sister I found this jem at a boutique called Varga. They sell vintage whimsical pieces and modern clothing. I loved this skirt at first sight when I saw it at 50% OFF! I quickly tried it on and I was sold :))

Tulle Skirt: Varga (similar) Tank: Free People(similar) Shoes: Sam Adelman

Hope you enjoyed this look because it's one of my favorite classic looks I've done. Reminds me of the skirt Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex In The City! I think they're whimsical and chic. Also pretending I'm a ballerina is the best. :)) Totally feel pretty wearing one. Are you into tulle skirts? Let me know if you share my love for them in the comments.
